Accounts Preparer, Jersey

Department: Client Accounting

Reports to: Client Accounting Manager

Role Summary

  • To assist in meeting the Client Accounting team deliverables, on time, effectively and efficiently and assist the Client Accounting Director with any ad hoc reports.
  • To ensure all Client accounts are prepared within a 12-month deadline.
  • Escalate any overdue accounts or difficulties in receiving files to Director or Funds AM.
  • To continue studying towards ACCA

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with any day-to-day bookkeeping issues the PC team has;
  • Ensure all Asset Statement delivery on time with Director supervision;
  • Assist the Junior Accounts Preparer clearing review points;
  • Ensure weekly target of 5 – 10 accounts files are signed;
  • Responsible for assisting in meeting ALL client Accounting deadlines;
  • Keep Admin Queries to a minimum, i.e. Under 30 at all times where possible within the CA team control;
  • Actively work with PC admins to ensure on time delivery of accounts files;
  • Plan & prioritise workloads to ensure ALL deadlines are met;
  • Train junior members of Client Accounting team;
  • Overall ownership, responsibility & accountability for the Accounts Tracker;
  • Provide direction and motivation to junior members of staff and lead by example;
  • Ad hoc project work as directed by the Client Accounting Director and Funds AM.

  • Studying towards ACCA/ACA/CA qualification;
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Client Accounting; and
  • Experience with Navision
